Schule des Sehens
Media literacy and film education for school classes – at the cinema
In a 90-minute workshop at the non-school learning venue cinema, students watch an age-appropriate short documentary film on the big screen. They work in groups on viewing tasks related to the film's theme and style. Children and young people learn to decipher film language and are playfully motivated to use media critically and confidently.
We show valuable documentaries that tell stories from the lives of young people with artistic flair. The workshops are led by film educators and sometimes accompanied by the filmmaker.
Our accompanying material supports in-depth follow-up work after the educational trip.
Cost: 5.00 euros per student / free for teachers
Registration: Kathi Seemann, seemann@dokfest-muenchen.de
Thanks to the support of the Stiftung München, we are able to offer students with special financial challenges free cinema visits with the Gern gesehen! ticket. Please contact us if you require further details or would like to register your class.
