In the remote highlands of Montenegro, the shepherdess Gara lives with her daughter Nada and her flock. Her beloved mountain landscape is under threat, as NATO plans to build a training ground there. But Gara fights on—both for the mountain and for Nada. S.G.

Biography

Biljana Tutorov is a screenwriter, director, and producer. Her work focuses on stories in which women play the leading roles. She is one of the first recipients of the Diane Weyermann Fellowship, a member of the European Film Academy, and frequently serves as a juror at film festivals.
As a passionate mountaineer, Petar Glomazić has long been documenting the region’s traditions, people, and landscapes. He is a co-founder and vice president of the citizens’ initiative “Save Sinjajevina.” TO HOLD A MOUNTAIN is his debut film.
