AMÍLCAR

Spanien, Frankreich, Portugal, Schweden, Cabo Verde 2025 – Director: Miguel Eek – Original language: French, Portuguese, Spanish – Subtitles: English – Length: 87 min.

Amílcar Cabral was the leader of the anti-colonial liberation movement in Guinea-Bissau and Cape Verde, a political thinker, poet, and agronomist who inextricably linked the concepts of land, culture, and liberation. Drawing on letters and writings, the film paints a picture of a visionary caught between cultural utopia, armed struggle, and a growing external threat. P.B.
