MEANWHILE IN NAMIBIA
Deutschland, Namibia 2026 – Director: Jonas Spriestersbach – Original language: Other, Afrikaans, English, German – Subtitles: English – Length: 115 min.
Although Germany acknowledges the genocide of the Herero and Nama in German South West Africa, it offers development aid rather than paying reparations. In his episodic film shot in Namibia, Jonas Spriesterbach observes his surroundings with keen attention and captures powerful images that reveal the alarming extent of structural inequality and racism.
