SCHWARZE HÄUSER

Deutschland 2026 – Director: Katrin Sikora – Original language: German – Subtitles: English – Length: 85 min.

How can trauma be overcome? In a conversation with her mother, the filmmaker finds out about the post-war evacuation of children to the countryside—and the systematic violence that many still suffer from today. In encounters with those affected, she also explores the emotionally charged speechlessness in families who have long suppressed their experiences. A.K.
