Award ceremony – DOK.fest München 2025
with screening of the winner of the kinokino Audience Award
We cordially invite you to the award ceremony of the main prizes of the 40th DOK.fest München. In the presence of the award winners, prize donors and juries, we will award our three main prizes and two further festival prizes in a festive setting: the VIKTORIA DOK.international Main Competition, the VIKTORIA DOK.deutsch Competition and the VIKTORIA DOK.horizonte - Cinema of Urgeny, as well as the megaherz Student Award and the kinokino Audience Award.
After the award ceremony we will present the winning film of the kinokino Audience Award as the closing film of the festival.
Please note: The closing film starts at around 9 p.m. Late admission is possible with the ticket for the main award ceremony.

WRITING HAWA

When the Taliban regains power in Afghanistan, Najiba picks up the pieces of her film portrait of her mother in exile. Through Hawa’s story, we follow the wave of emancipation that had swept across the land. Biography
Author and director Najiba Noori has written reports for Huffington Post, Doctors Without Borders and UN Women, among others. She took part in the IDFA Academy in 2022. Due to the takeover in Afghanistan, she moved to France in 2021. WRITING HAWA is her first feature-length documentary.
The brother and co-director Rasul Noori took over the camera work when Najiba Noori had to flee from the Taliban.
