CINEMA AT ITS BEST & Award Ceremony: DOK.fest Award of SOS Kinderdörfer weltweit

Competition Shortlists, Award Winners and Audience Highlights


During this event we will present the DOK.fest Award of the SOS-Kinderdörfer weltweit and show the award winning film CHILDREN OF THE MIST.

The DOK.fest Award of the SOS-Kinderdörfer weltweit is given to films that make the perspective of children and young people visible in a remarkable way and will be awarded for the ninth time in 2022. It is donated by B.O.A Videofilmkunst and endowed with 3,000 euros.


Tickets for the nominated films are now available in presale. The films can be seen from from 04 to 15 May at the Munich venues and online from 09 to 22 May.

Ha Le Diem

Diem hails from an ethnic minority in Thailand and went to Hanoi to study journalism, graduating in 2013. CHILDREN OF THE MIST is her first documentary film, which was supported by a Sundance Institute Documentary Film Programme grant and won the Best Director Award at IDFA 2021.
