In the film we follow him from his final year at Hanser Verlag to him stepping down from his role as President of the Bavarian Academy of Fine Arts. Frank Wierke
Born in Unna/Westphalia, Wierke studied at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Dortmund. He graduated in 2001 with a diploma in essay documentary film. He works as a freelance filmmaker (among others for ZDF/3sat, Goethe-Institut). He is also a member of "dokumentarisch arbeiten, Hamburg" & Filmwerkstatt Düsseldorf.
