Laura Block
Journalistenschülerin (Axel Springer SE/FreeTech)

Laura Block is originally from Recklinghausen in the Ruhr area and is a journalism student at FreeTech - Axel Springer Academy. She is completing her traineeship at BILD live TV and BILD Politik. Previously, she was an editor at "Maischberger" (ARD) and headed the editorial department of the program "Boomarama" (Tele 5). She was also a freelancer for "Bild am Sonntag". Laura studied political science and journalism and communications in Vienna. She earned her master's degree in Arts and Media Administration at the Free University of Berlin.

Uwe Brunner
(Universität Innsbruck)

Uwe Brunner is an architect and researcher. Since 2019 he is a faculty member at the ./studio3, Institute for Experimental Architecture at the University of Innsbruck. His current research focuses on digital counter aesthetics and the essayistic dimension of extended reality environments.

Ariane Böhm

Ariane is a journalist and foodie. She loves digital projects and matcha tea. She writes, films and creates digital content and new formats. Ariane currently works as an editor in chief for safespace at rbb. Awarded the Grimme Online Award for “wende_rewind”.

Dörthe Eickelberg
Moderator and director (Labo M)

Dörthe Eickelberg is a Berlin based filmmaker and TV host. She graduated at the Filmakademie in Ludwigsburg with the award winning documentary FAIRIES AND OTHER TALES and is now touring Europe for the daily science show XENIUS on ARTE. Her passion for surfing and social justice motivated Dörthe to write and direct CHICKS ON BOARDS. The series was shown on ARTE and sold worldwide. In June she will publish a book based on her story at Penguin/Random House. Dörthe is a guest lecturer at filmschools and universities in Ludwigsburg, Berlin, Tübingen, Shanghai and all over India.

Lena Gieseke
Jury DOK.digital - Award for new narrative formats (Filmuniversität Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF)

Lena Gieseke is a professor of Visual Media Technologies / Technical Direction in the M.A. Creative Technologies program and as its dean responsible for developing the curriculum. She earned a Ph.D. from the University of Stuttgart as a member of the Visual Computing group in the Department of Computer Science. Her research in the field of computer graphics is published in a number of peer-reviewed journals and as a patent. From 2012-2015 she held a scholarship of the Digital Media doctoral program. In 2015, Lena Gieseke spent four months as a visiting researcher at Adobe Research in San Jose, USA. Before returning to academia in 2012, Lena Gieseke worked for several years as software-developer and 3D artist in the visual effects and 3D computer animation industry. Her animation A 3D Exploration of Picasso’s Guernica has been screened internationally.

Alexandra Ginger
Studentin Mensch Computer Interaktion (LMU München)

ALEXANDRA GINGER (*1995) studies Human-Computer Interaction at the LMU Munich and is involved in the XR Bavaria e.V.. She has several years of professional experience in the field of 3D visualization and XR. Among others at the BMW Group, the University of Regensburg and MMM GmbH (ongoing). While studying Medientechnik (2013-2017) at the TH Deggendorf, she held the editorial management of the student tv, as well as the student radio, was a tutor for 3D and participated in projection mapping projects. She was also involved in several film and theater projects, supported by the “Junges Theater am Gärtnerplatz”, "In eigener Regie" by JFF and "Filmklasse Deutschland" by Up-and-coming Filmfestival.

Bettine Katja Lange (DE) is a set designer and video artist. Her work ranges from film, theatre, and performances to installations. In her current research, she examines the influence of objects and private space on communication, memory, and identity formation as the autobiography of its owner.

Matthias Leitner
Jury DOK.digital - Award for new narrative formats (Digital Storyteller & Strategiedesigner)

Since 2015, Matthias Leitner has been responsible for the storytelling lab story: first and since 2018 web: first for Bayerischer Rundfunk. He also works in digital development as a project and idea manager. He has received various awards for his journalistic work, and the federal government's cultural and creative industries have appointed Matthias Leitner as a Fellow in 2017.

Marco Reinke

Marco Reinke was born in Bremerhaven and is a journalism student at FreeTech - Axel Springer Academy and news editor at WELT TV News Channel. His previous positions include freelance work at NDR, CNN, ProSiebenSAT.1 and internships at ZDF, among others. Marco studied journalism and media management at the Macromedia University of Applied Sciences in Berlin, Hamburg and Dublin.

Sabrina Scharpen
Jury DOK.digital - Award for new narrative formats (ZDF)

Sabrina Scharpen is Lead Format Development HR New Media at ZDF. Previously, she was a format conceptionist at funk. She develops and manages projects from the initial idea to the successful format for platforms such as the ZDFmediathek, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat or Spotify - including the podcast Mordlust, the reportage format follow me.reports or the documentary formats GERMANIA (Grimme Award 2018 & Golden Camera) and TRU DOKU (Grimme Award nomination 2021). Her specialty: analyzing the potential of topics and target groups for the various channels in order to develop strategic distribution and creative storytelling solutions with the makers.

Jutta Schirmacher
Jury DOK.digital - Award for new narrative formats (Bayerische Landeszentrale für neue Medien)

Jutta Schirmacher is a speaker at the Bavarian Regulatory Authority for Commercial Broadcasting (BLM) in the field of media competence and youth protection and is a foundation officer at the Media Education Foundation Bavaria, which was founded by the BLM. She studied media, law and political science at the Philipps University of Marburg and completed an apprenticeship at Hubert Burda Media. As a film consultant for the BLM, she has also been entrusted with the preparation of the meetings of the FFF Bayern awards committee since 2014. Since 2016 she has been a jury member of the German Film and Media Evaluation (FBW).
