DOK.deutsch

The private is political - does the motto of the generation 68 take on new validity in times of social media or does the political become a private matter on these channels? The tone has become rougher, no matter whether analogue or digital, whether in the Bundestag, on the street or on the net. The twelve films in our DOK.deutsch competition series once again cover a broad spectrum of social themes and discourses: It‘s about the visible and invisible traces left behind by the fall of communism in the biographies of people in East Germany. We venture a detour into the parallel world of clans in major German cities. And we experience how Germany prepares for possible catastrophes. Also a commentary on the interaction between public and private life. Daniel Sponsel
