In the eastern Ukrainian town of Marjinka, we follow five young people through nine years of war. Brothers find themselves on different sides of the conflict, while two friends cope with everyday life, one as a smuggler and the other as a paramedic. Biography
Pieter-Jan De Pue studied at the RITS (Royal Institute for Theater, Cinema and Sound) in Brussels. He then spent a significant amount of time in Afghanistan working on his first feature film, THE LAND OF THE ENLIGHTENED, which won “Best Photography” at the Sundance Film Festival in 2016.
