DOK.fest is in the Here&Now: THE EUPHORIA OF BEING

in cooperation with MVHS

How is growing old viewed today? What ideas about the final phase of life shape us, and which role models break through the clichés of aging? Four extraordinary documentaries tell the stories of people who continue to live out their passion for dance, music, creativity, and love in their old age. An Auschwitz survivor finds a way to express her traumatic experiences on stage, an elderly New York interior designer creates rooms that reflect her eccentric life, a Polish bon vivant persistently pursues her passions, and elderly people in Denmark look back on the great loves of their lives and draw special strength from them. Haunting and inspiring portraits about dignity, longing, and the courage to shape one's own life until the very end.

THE EUPHORIA OF BEING
