DOK.fest is in the Here&Now: FEMINISM WTF
in cooperation with MVHS
The future is uncertain, they say. The future is none of our business, some philosophers claim. The future is not happening, according to a number of dystopias. Four documentary films look into the world of tomorrow. They may not reveal what will be, but they explore what is already possible today and what will play a role in the future. For example, they shed light on the comprehensive monitoring of all data by global software companies that operate beyond state regulation. They follow our approach to death and the attempts to overcome its irreversibility with AI-controlled programmes. They follow the emotional bonds between humans and robots and examine the significance of gender in the future.
