A documentary film about a documentary filmmaker? “Bullshit” says the cult director, Kossakowsky, who is portrayed here. “There’s no point.” Impressively Carlos Klein convinces us otherwise. Klein decided to accompany the Russian, who is enlivened by his vision, literally from one end of the world to the other during the filming of “¡VIVAN LAS ANTIPODAS!”. Kossakowsky’s unerring perfectionism and his deep aesthetic enthusiasm, which sometimes ends in spontaneous outbursts of tears, aren’t just fascinating for Klein. A visually rich portrait of an inspiring artist with a strong ambition: to make his audience happy for 90 minutes. It might work out. Marcus Morlinghaus
