"I was six; my brother three and a half. He came to me and said: Hey Ronny, listen to this, this is a great song: 'You say yes, I say no. You say why, I say I don’t know. You say good-bye, I say hello.' Since then, we’ve been crazy about listening to music."

By day, the 40-year old Yaron Franz works as a director of sales for Bosch industry. By night, he composes pieces of electro pop, to which he sometimes mixes Jewish melodies. Sometimes he is provocative, like when he sings an imitation of the Nazi greeting alongside the beats. To him, music is a universal means of expression as well as a spiritual experience. Music helps to transform a "bad impulse" into a "good impulse". And that’s where his love for music links back to the Jewish religion. Yaron draws his spiritual energy as much from his prayers at the synagogue before work as from his music after work. This is his way of combining religion and a modern life style.
