Award ceremony of the 2024 youth film competition

Congratulations to the 2024 award winners!

The award winners were honoured on Sunday, 12 May, at the Hochschule für Fernsehen und Film München (HFF). We present the award-winning newcomer films.

As part of the Munich International Documentary Film Festival, DOK.education, in cooperation with the main prize sponsor Bayerischer Lehrer- und Lehrerinnenverband e.V., will select the winners of the 2024 documentary film competition for young people.

Prizes worth a total of 1.100 euros await the up-and-coming filmmakers. Moderated by Maya Reichert, head of DOK.education, we will take a look behind the scenes of documentary filmmaking in entertaining film talks. We will present the award-winning films on the big screen in the cinema of the Hochschule für Fernsehen und Film. Afterwards, we invite you to enjoy a drink and exchange ideas in the foyer of the HFF Munich.

Awards

Thanks to the main prize sponsor BLLV e.V., the Bavarian Teachers’ Association and the Beisheimstiftung, five prizes with a total value of 1,200 euros will be awarded:

  • 1st prize main category, endowed with 400 euros – donated by BLLV e.V.
  • 2nd prize main category, endowed with 300 euros – donated by BLLV e.V.
  • 3rd prize main category, endowed with 200 euros – donated by BLLV e.V.
  • 1st prize category 6- to 11-year-olds, endowed with 200 euros – donated by BLLV e.V.
  • DOK.fest Newcomers-privem endowed with 100 euros – donated by Beisheimstiftung
