Hubertus Siegert

Hubertus Siegert, author, director, producer, born 1959 in Düsseldorf, Germany. He studied history, history, art history and film studies at the FU Berlin and landscape architecture at the TU Berlin. In the 1990s worked as an assistant on various films and founded his production company S.U.M.O. Film for cinema documentaries. He directed and produced the architecture big city classic: BERLIN BABYLON (2001), the Max Ophüls Award-winning: BEYOND PUNISHMENT (2015), the coming-of-age duo: KLASSENLEBEN (2005) and DIE KINDER DER UTOPIE (2019). Production of Simon Brückner's documentary on the right wing Af: A GERMAN PARTY (Berlinale Special 2022) as well as Götz Schauder's first feature film: CONDUCT!
