Etna Ozbek

Etna Ozbek graduated from SVA in NYC in 2017 with a BFA in film/video. Her thesis documentary “Water, water everywhere” screened at various film festivals around India and the US. Her documentary “Nosema” won the Special Jury Mention at 40th Istanbul Film Festival, and made its international premiere at the prestigious IDFA. Currently she is working on her first feature length documentary “A Simple Place”, which was awarded two prizes at Antalya Film Forum, the WIP award and Baska Sinema Distribution Award. She co-founded Zug Film with Burak Karamete. Currently, she is doing her MFA in Kadir Has University in the Film and Drama Department, and searching for intersections of documentary and performance.
