Tom Fährmann

Cameraman, Photographer and Screenwriter

Tom Fährmann first studied teaching and pedagogy, before he discovered his love for film and studied at the HFF Munich.
He has got to know all genres in his professional career. In addition to about 900 commercials he turned as a cameraman numerous television films and most complex movies, such as. "The popes". For many of his films, he received awards, such as the Bavarian Film Award for Camera and the German Camera Award. He was always curious about the stories to be told
in his work. His task is to find the right pictures for each story. He is always in conversation with the director and the author, sometimes works even as a co-author. He lives for the claim, that film is teamwork. Tom Fährmann taught at many film schools throughout his career, as well as the HFF Munich. In addition to his camera work, Tom Fährmann also worked as a consultant at ARRI and ZEISS and is therefore also technically up to date. Early on, he dealt with the use of "VFX" and animation. He sees profound training in camera
technology as an important field of education.
