Fatma Riahi studied cinema in Tunisia. She began her career working on short documentaries and TV programs. In 2011, she joined Al Jazeera Documentary Channel as a producer and commissioning editor, where she oversees the development and production of documentary projects from across the Arab world and beyond. Her first feature, A Haunted Past, premiered at IDFA and screened at prestigious festivals, including Hot Docs and Durban International Film Festival, where it received several awards. She is currently working on her second feature documentary, My Father Killed Bourguiba
