Sasha Joelle Achilli is a BAFTA, Emmy and DuPont-winning documentary filmmaker known for reporting from conflict zones and crises. She directed Italy’s Frontline: A Doctor’s Diary, filmed inside a northern Italy hospital during the COVID-19 peak, earning BAFTA and Emmy nominations. Her credits include 54 Days: America and the Pandemic, Shadow Commander, and Murdered for Love?. As a producer, she covered Syria war crimes, Ebola in West Africa, the Westgate Mall attack, the Chibok girls in Nigeria, the Iranian uprising, The Shamima Begum Story, and co-directed Syria’s Detainee Files.
