Dea Tcholokava

Dea Tcholokava is a Georgian filmmaker with an academic foundation in social-political sciences and filmmaking, studied across Georgia and Germany. Her films have been shown at international festivals like: Dok Leipzig, Camden IFF, DOC NYC, Krakow IFF, Fipadoc (where it won the main prize) and others. Dea has collaborated with the Caucasian media platform Chai Khana on films like Traffic Diary and Of Kids and Sea and worked as an editor and assistant director alongside esteemed Georgian filmmakers Lana Gogoberidze, Tato Kotetishvili, Bakur Bakuradze, and others. She was selected as a Documenta Archive and Goethe Institute fellow in Spring 2025.
