Rosa Gocht

Studentin Regie (Filmuniversität Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF)

Rosa Gocht, born in Dresden in 1998, made her first documentary short film at the age of 19 during a year abroad in Namibia. In this film, she explored the contradictions of the volunteer system and her own role within it. She applied to the Film Academy Vienna with this work and began studying directing there in 2020. In 2021, she transferred to the Film University Babelsberg to focus on documentary film directing. She acquired editing skills autodidactically and has since edited several documentary and fiction projects. An anxiety disorder, which has shaped her perception since childhood, forms the core of her artistic practice. “I Breathe All the Time” is her bachelor’s graduation film. Since 2025, she has been studying for a Master’s degree in Documentary Film Directing at Babelsberg.
