David-Simon Groß

David-Simon Groß (*1994, St. Wendel) is a documentary filmmaker and cinematographer. In 2022, he completed his master’s degree at Film University Babelsberg with the feature-length documentary THE HOMES WE CARRY, which he shot as cinematographer and co-director in Mozambique and South Africa. The film premiered at DOK Leipzig in 2022 and screened at HOT DOCS, ACHTUNG BERLIN, Films des Femmes, and was nominated for the FIRST STEPS AWARD. His second feature documentary, LITTLE SYRIA, for which he worked as DoP, had its world premiere at CPH:DOX in 2025 and was also shown at the Doxumentale in Berlin. KEINEM SEIN LAND (working title) will be his debut as a feature film director.
