Anja Strelec

I am a Croatian documentary filmmaker, director, and educator based in Brussels, working at the intersection of creative documentary storytelling and visual journalism. I studied Television Production at the University of Zagreb and continued my film education in France at ENSAV and Université Paul Valéry Montpellier 3. I have directed and co-directed several documentaries screened at international festivals, as well as films for museums and cultural institutions. I have also produced over 300 television reports combining documentary storytelling and journalism for Flemish and Croatian broadcasters, along with audiovisual work for NGOs and international organisations. For the past 15 years, I have taught documentary filmmaking and storytelling at festivals, film schools, and training programmes worldwide, including for EU institutions and embassies.
