Chiara Strickland

Chiara Strickland is a freelance composer for film, television, and theater. Since her studies in Film Music & Sound Design at the Film Academy Baden-Württemberg, several films she has worked on as a composer have been awarded; for instance, Johannes Preuss won the Student Academy Award for "GALAMSEY" in 2017. Shoko Hara's "JUST A GUY" was among the ten most awarded short films in 2020, and in 2021, Chiara received the Golden Horseman Sound Design Award at the Dresden Film Festival for her music. The following year, Daniel Popat's feature film "STUMM VOR SCHRECK" won the Hofer Critics' Award. In 2023, Chiara was nominated for the Rolf-Hans Müller Award for Film Music for her work on said film. That same year, Tuna Kaptan's "ROHBAU" received the Hofer New German Cinema Award.
