Volker Schmidt-Sondermann

Volker Schmidt-Sondermann was born in 1965 in Göttingen. After his high school diploma in Oldenburg he moved to Erlangen to study Theatre Arts and Communication Science. After his studies he completed an acting training at the Otto-Falckenberg-Schule in Munich.

In 1993 Volker Schmidt-Sondermann moved behind the camera and began to work as a journalist for the German desk of the Kazakhstani television broadcaster in Alma Ata. He has shot numerous movies ever since. 

As of 2014 he is the Managing Director of both IFAGE Filmproduktion and TELLUX Dresden. Volker Schmidt- Sondermann lives in Dresden with his wife and three children.
