Thomas Kufus

Thomas Kufus started his career as a director of documentary films as a self-taught filmmaker in 1987. In 1990, he founded the production company Zero Film in Berlin, initially for documentary films and, from 2011 onwards, also for fictional works. The company’s catalogue, now under the name Zero One Film, includes over 150 cinema and television productions, many of which were realised as international co-productions, premiered at major festivals, and received prestigious awards such as the German and European Film Awards as well as the Grimme Awards.
