Angelos Tsaousis

Founder, Director, Producer, Documentary Filmmaker (Filmografik DocRepublic)

In 2007, Angelos founded the documentary film production company Filmografik DocRepublic that brings powerful and impactful stories to life. He is a Fulbright Fellow, a San Francisco Film Society Fellow, and a 2020 Santa Fe Art Institute Artist-in-Residence. His debut feature-length documentary, The New Plastic Road, a co-production with ZDF/Arte and the Greek Film Center, screened at Close-Up: Edinburgh DocFest 2020 and Hot Docs 2021. His second feature documentary, Far.Go.Bots, tells the story of the first Romani children's robotics team from Greece, who overcomes segregation, travels to the USA, finishes school, and changes their life paths. A co-production with the Greek public broadcaster ERT and the Greek Film Center, that premiered at the 2022 Thessaloniki Documentary Festival.
