Mariam Nikolaishvili

Mariam Nikolaishvili (b. 1993, Tbilisi) is a filmmaker exploring the body, identity, and the hidden cost of belonging. She studied Media Art at Caucasus University and trained at ART ON THE RUN Film School Berlin. Her work is rooted in long-term observation and close relationships with her protagonists. Her short film 'Fear of the Past' premiered at CinéDoc Tbilisi. She is developing 'Where the Red Jacket Led' and her debut feature 'Operation Champion'.
