Jakob Gatzka

Jakob Gatzka is an internationally experienced producer, director, and writer, and managing director of Figurative Film GmbH. His documentary MY WAY (2021) was rated “particularly valuable” by the FBW, and his interactive project Fritz Bauer – In the Struggle for Human Rights was nominated for the Grimme Online Award 2023. He has produced over 100 films in 20 countries. Current projects include SOHAIL AND THE TALIBAN (Top 5 ARD Documentary Competition), OVER THE MOUNTAINS, and MOZART ON MAURITIUS. He also curates human rights film festivals, including one supported by the Film- und Medienstiftung NRW.
