Annina Lehmann was born in Neuruppin in 1989 and grew up in Berlin, Tripolis, Kassel and London. She has a BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford, an MA in Comparative Literature from Goldsmiths College, University of London and is currently pursuing a PhD in documentary film at the University of Westminster, on the temporality of displacment, supervised by Joshua Oppenheimer. In addition to her work as a filmmaker, she has written for magazines and radio (DUMMY, Der Freitag, The White Review, BBC Radio 4) and organised literature festivals.
