Maxie Borchert
(Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg)
Maxie Borchert grew up in Potsdam. After leaving the world of professional sports, she worked as an international youth reporter during the 2012 Paralympic Games in London and as a content producer for the Paralympic Post in Rio de Janeiro 2016 and Pyeongchang 2018. After finishing Highschool in 2013 she gained first experiences in theatre and realised her first documentary film projects. In 2015/16, she worked as a volunteer teachter in Cambodia for one year. After further internships in film production in Strasbourg and Berlin, she began to study film editing at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg in 2018. Since then she has worked on a number of documentary and fiction films. She has also worked as an assistent/additional editor on the Netflix Series SLEEPING DOG.
