WRONG TIME WRONG PLACE
Belgium, Finland, Germany, Netherlands 2012 – Director: John Appel – Original language: Georgian, Norwegian – Subtitles: English – Length: 80 min.
"There are so many questions you ask yourself," explains Ritah, who survived the mass murder on Utoya in July 2011. Why was she lucky enough to flee by chance to the right place while Anders Breivik - whose name is never mentioned in the film - killed 69 people on the island? We also meet Tamta from Georgia who was shot on the water’s edge or Harald who was just quickly dropping by his office in Oslo when the bomb exploded. Eight people died; he was seriously wounded. Five lives hung in the balance when the mass murderer Breivik struck. John Appel’s moving film makes clear that it can be trivial things or very short moments that make the difference between life and death. Andrea Naica-Loebell
