Two sisters and their beloved cattle. Britt and Inger have spent their whole lives together – accompanied by a dozen cows. The herd means the world to Britt but for Inger, the animals are a daily torment, especially when it comes to going out milking at the crack of dawn. The fact that both women are way into their seventies means that the everyday realities of farming have become particularly challenging but they tackle things together – until Inger has to give up because her body can’t take it any more. It’s hard for them to know what to do; yet with her shrewd intelligence Britt still manages to convince people to help.
