Belgium, Tunisia, United Kingdom 2009 – Director: Hichem Ben Ammar – Original language: Arabic, English, French – Subtitles: English

“Once upon a time…” This story unfolds like a tale from the Arabian Nights. Annas is a gifted violinist and is just 10 years old when he wins a place at the elite Yehudi Menuhin Music School in London. The film follows him over the course of two years: from his discovery, through his education with the most renowned violin teachers in the world, to international appearances. We see how his rise to fame affects his personal relationships with his family back in Tunisia. This “rags to riches” tale is not only about the protagonist’s musical journey but perhaps more importantly shows his father, a trombonist, fulfilling his greatest ambition.
