REVISION
Germany 2012 – Director: Philip Scheffner – Original language: German – Subtitles: English – Length: 106 min.
At the crack of dawn in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern on the German-Polish border in 1992 two Roma immigrants were shot dead by hunters. Was this a hunting accident? Were the shots deliberately targeted at the undesirables? The many inconsistencies in the case raise new questions. Philip Scheffner visits the family members of the victims and speaks with lawyers and investigators from back then. Different versions of what happened emerge and now, 20 years later, they can no longer be covered up.
With the actual case as a starting point, the director looks behind the bare facts, reflects upon hidden connections and re-evaluates the supposed reality. Dunja Bialas
