"I have betrayed my country." Since 1967 Israeli intelligence has worked together with Palestinian collaborators. One of them is Ibrahim El-Akel. When his brother is murdered by Hamas, Ibrahim and his family leave Hebron in search of a better future in Tel Aviv but without residence permits it seems impossible for them to lead a normal life. The three sons are regularly picked up by the police and are increasingly slipping out of their father’s grasp. There is a seemingly endless wait for the papers they have been promised and, meanwhile, an Israeli agent is already out knocking on doors trying to sign up the next collaborator.
