MY GOOD FORTUNE IN AUSCHWITZ
Netherlands 2012 – Director: Reber Dosky – Original language: Dutch – Subtitles: English – Length: 12 min.
An old violinist, Hajo Meyer (87) begins to tell his story. He speaks of Auschwitz and the atrocity he encountered there. But he also talks about Jos Slagter, his friend in Auschwitz. It is thanks to their friendship that Hajo managed to stay human amid all the inhumanity. The friendship gave him hope: simply, that one of them was there to make sure the other didn’t fall. Nora Moschüring
