He has been in the business of upscale illustrated books for 40 years and even celebrities like Keanu Reeves - who will soon have his biography published by Steidl - know to appreciate Steidl’s perfectionism. The man himself has an unimposing appearance and he often looks out of place in his glamorous surroundings such as at a private view or a fashion show or visiting sheiks in the desert._A diverse portrait that succeeds in contrasting different worlds as well as revealing the complete affinity of the protagonist with his work.
