“I came back with only one suitcase and in this suitcase was only one thing: the dream of being able to make music in my home town.” After 30 years in Vienna Nader Mashayekhi, a conductor and composer, returned to Teheran to make the apparently impossible possible: to assemble a symphony orchestra for contemporary music. He inspired young musicians with the energy of Gustav Mahler and the experimental music of John Cage until his dream was crushed by the brutal defeat of the democracy movement in 2009. He fled to Europe but his dream lived on - and so he came up with an absurd plan. A touching and sensitive film about the strength of dreams and the price that visionaries are prepared to pay.
