"It all started with a stamp and a lighthouse, and I started to come to grips with some important connections, some changes that were being made in the post and the lighthouse service. Post offices were being closed, lighthouses deserted, and I thought it was all very sad. From 1996 to 1998 the postal service reduced the number of post offices from 2000 to 900. A new reorganization started 1 March 2001: 550 post offices were closed and replaced by 750 post counters in local shops. - It all ends with a more efficient and profitable society and there are some important connections. Such as people and the little things that keep the country and the world together, the importance of peoples presence in society, and caring about one another and how we show it. But there's not much left. - Perhaps it's just a question of showing some sympathy, and that almost only happens at funerals."
