The famous French actress, Sandrine Bonnaire, makes "crazy Sabine", her younger autistic sister, a beautiful present through the eye of the camera. 38-year-old Sabine lives in a special care home, she's dependent and fearful, struggling with everyday life. Home movies and photographs of the past show a completely different picture: Sabine as a playful and unpredictable child and a gifted piano player; Sabine overwhelmed by joy when her sister makes her biggest dream come true: a trip to New York on Concorde, sisters sunbathing on the beach. Sabine was then a beautiful young woman. What tragedy could have caused such a transformation? After her brother died, Sabine became aggressive and was sent to a psychiatric hospital. After 5 years of heavy medication and isolation, Sabine has gained 30 kilos and lost most of her former abilities. She suffers from anxiety and hardly speaks.
