A road movie with a difference. Piotr and Jan are a pair of priceless jokers. Together the two Poles have formed a dream team born out of the desolate working conditions in their homeland. In a clapped out old van they set off year after year towards the West. In sleepy Rhineland towns they line up alongside other collectors. The object of their desire is bulk waste. Every sofa, cupboard, sometimes even a piano, is meticulously inspected. Only the most valuable of jewels will make their way to the shops back home in Poland. On the way they have to skilfully manoeuvre their way through a maze of two-way prejudices and any amount of junk._Two of life’s survivors take a roundabout route out of hopelessness.
