David Lynch within reach yet still intangible. David Sieveking has just graduated from film school when he plunges into his first creative crisis. It stands to reason that he should seek advice from his namesake and idol, Lynch. So he follows the Canadian director’s lead and heads into the world of Transcentdental Meditiation, a movement founded by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, guru to stars such as the Beatles. David however doesn’t manage to master yogic flying nor find the inspiration he had hoped for. Instead he makes a huge dent in his bank balance and discovers some inconsistencies within the global spiritual organisation. This ludicrous detective odyssey leads David Sieveking from Berlin, through Hollywood to the Himalayas. Meanwhile David Lynch threatens legal action.
