After about thirty orchestras were shut down in reunited Germany, Lutz Daberkow founded an symphonic orchestra for unemployed musicians in eastern Berlin. Having received city funding for a few years, the group finally lost all financial support. Nevertheless, the musicians are not ready to give up their orchestra just yet. Almost all of them are older than 35, which means that they don't get invited to auditions anymore. This binds them together, forcing them to join forces and concentrate on their goal of saving their orchestra and therefore there jobs. Three of the members, bassist Simona Popa, horn player Jakob Richter and the violinist Jürgen Dempewolff talk about their lives as musicians.
