DOK.forum Marketplace 2026

The pitch competition of DOK.talent Award offers students from our partner universities the opportunity to present their projects to commissioning editors, producers and distributors in a speed pitch as part of the DOK.forum Marketplace. At the same time, it gives the students valuable first contact with the industry and direct feedback on their projects. The best project, including the most convincing pitch, receives the award, which is endowed with a research funding of 2,500 euros.

Ingo Fliess
Filmproduktion (if... Productions Film GmbH)

if... Productions was founded in 2007 by Ingo Fliess in Munich and today ranks among Germany's most successful independent production companies. In 2024, THE TEACHERS' LOUNGE (directed by İlker Çatak, screenplay co-written with Johannes Duncker) was nominated for the Academy Award for Best International Film. With the most recent Berlinale winner YELLOW LETTERS (Golden Bear for Best Film in the International Competition), the successful collaboration with İlker Çatak continues. The company's roots lie in documentary film. EL BULLI – COOKING IN PROGRESS (2011, directed by Gereon Wetzel) marked its first international success. ELTERNSCHULE (2018, directed by Jörg Adolph & Ralf Bücheler), observationally filmed in a psychosomatic children's clinic, sparked nationwide debates and was nominated for the German Film Award.

Christine Haupt
Funding representative (FFF Bayern)

Christine Haupt works as a Funding Executive at FFF Bavaria, specialized in Young Talents, Feature Documentaries and Low Budget Feature Films since 2023. Christine worked in several functions for different broadcaster as well as line producer and producer for European co-productions. Her portfolio includes documentaries in different formats, fiction feature films as well as animation films. She was a jury member of the BKM shortfilm funding from 2016 - 2022 and is a member of the European Film Academy.

Peter Jaeger
CEO (Jaeger Creative)

After studying law & philosophy, Peter started as Sales & Marketing Director of a film magazine. He moved on to become Marketing & Acquisitions Director for renowned theatrical distributors in the Benelux, releasing over a 100 films like Mulholland Drive, Festen, The Lord Of The Rings trilogy. In 2004 Peter moved to Vienna to start Autlook Filmsales, creating one of the world’s leading sales agents for creative docs. In 2015 he created a consulting company - Jaeger Creative - focusing on Dramaturgy, innovative distribution, financing & marketing solutions for films & series. Peter is also a Lecturer at different film schools like Vienna Film Academy, a jury member of the Flemish & Vienna Film Fund and a Creative Europe expert.

MAGNETFILM is a boutique world sales agency based in Berlin. We handle worldwide licensing across all media and platforms, developing tailor-made marketing and distribution strategies for every title. We’re looking for unique films with a global appeal, cinematic vision and strong narrative. Alex Tondowski
Producer (Tondowski Films)
After working as an actor in Paris, London and the Los Angeles for over 20 years, he founded Tondowski Films with his wife Ira in 2011. Their first Feature-length Documentary SONG FROM THE FOREST by Michael Obert won the IDFA feature-length competition in 2013 and was subsequently sold in over 15 territories and screened in over 100 Festival. Since then they have produced predominantly feature docs that have all had International premiers on A festivals. Their film BORN IN EVIN after winning a prize at the Berlinale 2019 won the LOLA 2020.
Ralph Wieser
Founder, Producer (Mischief Films)

Before establishing Mischief Films, Ralph Wieser was programming director of an arthouse cinema and managing cultural events and film projects. In 2002 he founded together with director Georg Misch the independent production company Mischief Films and started producing creative documentaries for cinema and television. Focusing on collaborations with innovative auteurs, Mischief encourages directors to develop their own distinctive style and support their creative approaches from unique angles.
Ralph Wieser is member of the European Film Academy, the Austrian Film Academy, the Austrian Documentary Association (dok.at). He is a graduate and board member of EURODOC and lecturer and expert at international workshops and festivals.

Jakob Zimmermann
Redakteur (ZDF/Das kleine Fernsehspiel)

Jakob Zimmermann has been working as a commissioning editor at ZDF/Das kleine Fernsehenspiel since the beginning of 2021. Before that he worked as a reader for various fiction departments of ZDF, as a freelance screenwriter and as head of conception in a video production company. Jakob Zimmermann is an Alumni of the Drehbuchwerkstatt München. He studied theatre, film and media studies and American studies in Frankfurt am Main and Prague.
