For school classes: Schule des Hörens
Media literacy and film education for school classes – at the cinema
With the Schule des Hörens, we encourage school classes to take a creative approach to the world of film music and enable them to experience sound as a dramatic element.
Using the short documentary film MARIAN UND DIE WALDRAPPE, students learn to consciously perceive film music and composition and how audiovisual stylistic devices work and trigger emotions. The cinema visit is accompanied by an experienced film composer who takes the class behind the scenes of the work of composers, musicians, and sound designers.
Teachers are provided with comprehensive accompanying material for preparing and following up on the film. The educational program is written in simple language and is suitable for all types of schools that want to take a closer look at music in film.
Cost: 5.00 euros per student / free for teachers
Registration: Kathi Seemann, seemann@dokfest-muenchen.de
Thanks to the support of the Stiftung München, we are able to offer students with special financial challenges free cinema visits with the Gern gesehen! ticket. Please contact us if you require further details or would like to register your class.
