Wie werden Fakten und Geschichten in einer vernetzten Welt in Zukunft erzählt? Mit dem DOK.digital Award suchen wir Antworten auf die Frage, wie der technologische Fortschritt die Landschaft des non-fiktionalen Geschichtenerzählens geprägt hat und weiterhin prägen wird. Ziel ist es, die Entstehung neuer innovativer Projekte, die verschiedene mediale Formate und Plattformen sinnvoll mit dem Inhalt verbinden, zu fördern. Mit dem von der Bayerischen Landeszentrale für neue Medien (BLM) gestifteten und mit 2.500 Euro dotierten Preis werden digitale Storytelling-Formate ausgezeichnet.

Der*die Gewinner*in wird bei der DOK.forum Preisverleihung am 10. Mai bekannt gegeben.

Head of Programming (SILBERSALZ Science & Media Festival)

Programme Director at the SILBERSALZ Science & Media Festival, taking place in Halle (Saale) Germany, from 29.10- 2.11, 2025. The 5-day festival unites audiences around science, technology, environment and global issues through immersive/interactive art works, digital art performances, film screenings, music, literature and debates. The festival aims to bring the public in direct conversation with thinkers, creators and researchers together, providing a neutral ground to engage with future ideas, opening new perspectives and interact with science and technology as part of everyday life.

Wolfgang Kerler
(1E9)

Wolfgang Kerler is co-founder and Editor-in-Chief of 1E9, a Munich-based platform for future-oriented tech journalism and events. He directs the Festival der Zukunft, a major science, tech, and art event by 1E9 and the Deutsches Museum, and is a member of the XR funding committee of FilmFernsehFonds Bayern (FFF). He also hosts New Realities, the XR podcast by 1E9 and XR HUB Bavaria. Wolfgang began his career at Bayerischer Rundfunk and later became a political correspondent at ARD’s Hauptstadtstudio. After that, he led the editorial team of WIRED Germany at Condé Nast. He lectures on digital journalism in Nuremberg and has received several awards, including the Deutscher Wirtschaftsfilmpreis and the Robert Bosch Foundation Prize.

Dr. Fabrizio Palmas

Dr. Fabrizio Palmas (www.fabriziopalmas.com) is an internationally recognized expert in eXtended Reality (XR), immersive media, and Artificial Intelligence (AI). A true pioneer in these fields, he develops visionary projects that push the boundaries of technology. Appointed by the German federal government as an official advisor, he contributed to shaping the new professional role of “Immersive Media Designer.” He has held a professorship and currently lectures as a guest professor at renowned universities. As a founding and board member of Extended Reality Bavaria e.V., he actively drives the XR community forward. His deep expertise makes him a sought-after keynote speaker on international stages.

Sebastian Sorg is a creative project developer for film and innovative media who is based in Munich, Germany. After creating and managing DOK.forum at DOK.fest Munich, he focussed on project development, financing strategies and funding.

Aida Suljičić
(aisu culture)

Aida Suljičić is an organizational consultant and coach specializing in the fields of culture, art and film. She has been active in cultural promotion for over 15 years, first at the Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetia, then at the film promotion agency SWISS FILMS, where she strategically shaped the international promotion of Swiss films as head of the "Festivals and Markets" department and member of the executive board. She works as a consultant and coach for Migros Culture Percentage, among others, where she supports the development of innovative film projects as part of Storylab. Her expertise lies in the areas of innovation in film, cultural participation, cultural policy and impact.
