Festival Main Award Ceremony of the 39th DOK.fest München

We present the award winners of VIKTOR DOK.international Main Competition, VIKTOR DOK.deutsch Wettbewerb, VIKTOR DOK.horizonte – Cinema of Urgeny, FFF Talent Award Documentary Film, megaherz Student Award as well as kinokino Audience Award.


We cordially invite you to the main awards ceremony of the 39th DOK.fest München. In the presence of the award winners, award sponsors and juries, we will present our six main awards in a festive ceremony. After the award ceremony (duration approx. 1.5 hours) we will present the winning film of the kinokino Audience Award as the closing film of the festival.

Information for accredited persons

You will receive your free admission ticket if you select "Für Akkreditierte" (means "For accredited persons") in the purchase process and enter your accreditation discount code in the "Ticket-ID Entry" field. You will find this on your accreditation badge under your name (8-digit, combination of numbers and letters).

The main awards at the 39th DOK.fest München

VIKTOR DOK.international Main Competition

The main award of the festival honours outstanding films in the main competition DOK.international. The VIKTOR Main Competition is endowed with 10,000 euros. The award is donated by Bayerischer Rundfunk. Nominations are open to films that cover a broad spectrum of content and form and are distinguished by their high artistic quality.

 

VIKTOR DOK.deutsch Wettbewerb

The DOK.deutsch competition presents films that deal with people and events in the German-speaking world. The VIKTOR DOK.deutsch is endowed with 7,500 euros, the award donor is Sky.

 

VIKTOR DOK.horizonte – Cinema of Urgency

The films in the DOK.horizonte competition focus on countries in transition, with unstable structures. They are nominated for the VIKTOR DOK.horizonte – Cinema of Urgency, endowed with 5,000 euros, donated by the Petra Kelly Foundation.


FFF Talent Award Documentary Film

The FFF Talent Award Documentary Film, donated by FilmFernsehFonds Bayern, honours bavarian up-and-coming directors at DOK.fest München. The award is given across all sections and is endowed with 5,000 euros.


megaherz Student Award

The Student Award of DOK.fest München presents outstanding documentary films by students of German-speaking film schools. The films are nominated for the megaherz Student Award, worth 3,000 Euros, donated by namegiver megaherz.


kinokino Audience Award, sponsored by BR and 3sat

Awarded and sponsored by kinokino, the film magazine of BR and 3sat and endowed with 2,000 euros.
